Screen sharing within Business Hangouts is allowed through the Browser, which is ultimately allowed through the system settings.
It is best to search for this through your Browser Help and see what settings can be enabled. For example, here is the help article for Google Chrome for changing site settings and allowing for screen sharing: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/114662?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop
For Mac users, there are System Preferences under Security & Privacy that must be allowed. Ensure your browser allows for 'Screen Recording'. Please note that changing this setting usually requires a restart of your browser.
